Pollock

Interactive Action Painting

@ Complesso del Vittoriano, Rome, 2018

An interactive videoinstallation for the exhibit “Pollock e la Scuola di New York” that lets you digitally mimic Jackson Pollock’s dripping technique on a virtual canvas.
Algorithmic simulation driven by camera based motion tracking (Mocolo).
Colors are selected pseudorandomly from RGB palettes obtained from digitized Pollock’s paintings.
Resulting virtual paintings can be downloaded via QR-Code.
